A Letter From the FIT Alumni Association President
Dear Students,
If this is your first semester at FIT, congratulations and welcome to an experience that will change your life. When I first got to FIT, I was lucky enough to have a dorm room with a view of the Empire State Building. I knew that very first night that I'd arrived in a magical place. The next four years were eye-opening, oft times difficult, sometimes even tumultuous...and I wouldn't trade them for the world.
The FIT Alumni Association was founded in 1962, and has been raising money to help FIT students with both financial aid and scholarships ever since. We have been where you are now and recognize that attending a school like ours may be a very different experience than that of a traditional college. During your time at the school, please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any assistance. And not just with financial matters: with more than 15,000 members spread around the world, we can also function as your valuable resource for networking and moral support. Consider joining our organization, too. You may not have your degree, yet, but the benefits membership offers are quite valuable, and, by joining now as a full-time matriculating student, we'll be happy to waive the $50 fee. You can reach me directly through this website by emailing me here, or by calling (212) 217-7443.
Sincerely,
John Jones - FIT Alumni Association President
