In Memory of Mary Ann Restivo

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Mary Ann Restivo, one of F.I.T.'s own with a degree in fashion design. Ms. Restivo started as a creative designer of contemporary sportswear. In 1980, when she opened her own business, her goal was to design real clothes for real women.

In 2002, Ms. Restivo re-entered the market with a focus on designer accessories for women who were fun yet elegant.

Ms. Restivo had received numerous awards and honors throughout her lifetime. One we had the honor of giving to her was the Mortimer C. Ritter Award from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 1983. Ms. Restivo passed away on January 4, 2015. Our condolences go out to her family.
